In more severe cases, the disease can affect the dog's internal organs, including the kidneys, liver and lungs, which can lead to serious health problems. There is no specific treatment for kennel cough, but the disease may be treated with antibiotics that reduce the number of bacteria in the dog's body and relieve symptoms.
